| You’re never too young to start loving music. That’s why basic music instruction begins in Early Childhood classes and flourishes throughout our Lower School. Children are first exposed to the basics of rhythm and melody, then advance to simple Orff percussion instruments and the four families of orchestral instruments: strings, woodwinds, percussion and brass. Our Lower School children even compose their own songs, and sing songs in different languages. It’s a wonderful way to start reinforcing the global awareness that we emphasize at Davidson Day. |
