Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country: David Hall
In his first year at Davidson Day, Hall led the Boys team to second place in the 1A state championships, the best finish of any DDS team to date. The Girls team finished ninth out of 21 teams in the combined 1A/2A championships, beating all the 1A teams to finish as “unofficial” 1A champions. A native North Carolinian, Hall earned a B.A. in English from Furman University where he was a record-setting runner. He also holds a M.Ed. in Health Promotion and a M.A. in Teaching from UNC Charlotte. In addition to coaching, Hall teaches English at Davidson Day. Girls Cheerleading: Jessica Carter
She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and is a Kindergarten Assistant here.

David Hall developed UNC Charlotte’s Division I Women's Cross Country and Men and Women's Track and Field programs, serving as Cross Country head coach from 1985 to 2001 and Track and Field head coach from 1992 to 2001. During his tenure, he coached two Division I All-Americans, was named Conference Coach of the Year five times and was the first coach to lead the 49ers cross country team to three consecutive Metro Conference Championships.
Jessica Carter helped kick off our Girls Cheerleading program last year and is now head coach of our Varsity and Middle School teams.
Chad Grier jumpstarted the Patriots’ inaugural football team as Head JV Football Coach last year, leading the team to an undefeated 11-0 season. This year he takes the Patriots to the next level as we start our Varsity football program.
London takes over as Head Coach of the Patriots after being named Mile High Coach of the Year in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 for his work at the Alexander Dawson School in Lafayette, Col. In 2010, he was also a finalist for National Boys Soccer Coach of the Year. Previously, he was head coach at the Bullis School in Potomac, Md. where he led his team to seven league championships and twice to top 10 national ranking. In 1993, The Washington Post named him D.C. Metro Coach of the Year.
DDS welcomes Rodriguez as its new Head Coach of Girls Varsity Tennis. He is the tennis director at NorthStone Country Club and is USPTA Pro 1 certified, the highest rating in the industry. He also is the owner of All Court Tennis, Inc.
Catherine Fulton starts her second season as Davidson Day’s Girls Volleyball Head Coach, in addition to serving as Assistant AD and P.E. teacher for our Early Childhood and Lower School students.
