All morning camps run from 9 a.m.-noon. Check individual classes for age requirements. Fun Fitness Camp For Kids by Empower Fitness LKN This high energy fun filled fitness camp is designed for kids ages 5-10. This program will increase overall health and fitness level for children in a fun, positive and motivating way! Kids will experience obstacle courses, fitness games, partner activities, body weight training, resistance bands, battling ropes, circuits and much more. We emphasize full body development improving balance, strength, special awareness, coordination, endurance, flexibility and teamwork skills. Most importantly we want kids to have FUN while exercising!
On your mark, get set, GO! Running is where it’s at. Not only is running a wonderful aerobic exercise, it’s great for improving one's cardiovascular health. We will start each day with stretching, and from there, work on building endurance, learning correct breathing, self esteem, sportsmanship and most importantly having fun while running! Be sure to wear comfortable tennis shoes, comfy clothing, and bring a water bottle.
This camp offers the opportunity for your child to spend a week learning how to play a game they will be able to enjoy for a lifetime. Players of all skill levels are welcome, so even if your child has never seen a golf club, this camp will still be a perfect fit. Coach, Thomas Whaley has several year of experience in working with youth golfers, including serving as one of the MS Golf Coaches at Davidson Day. During this camp, each participant will learn the basics of golf from how to play by the rules, grip a club, and swing it. Specific stations will help golfers learn how to putt, chip, and drive. The camp will be held on the Davidson Day campus Monday - Thursday, and will culminate with an outing to a local golf course on Friday. (Specific details about the course will be available in time.) Participants will need to provide their own golf clubs, bring a water bottle, and will need to dress appropriately for being outside (tennis shoes, comfortable clothes). A snack and all other equipment will be provided.
This camp will give your child the chance to experience the types of drills and exercises practiced every day by their favorite professional and college football players. They will learn the basic fundamentals of offense and defense including passing and receiving techniques, running and ball carrying principles, and basic defensive schemes. Each session will consist of a dynamic warm-up, a series of drills, instruction, and games, water breaks, and a scrimmage. Participants are required to wear tennis shoes or cleats (please no flip flops) and to bring a water bottle. All other equipment, as well as a snack will be provided. Participants are also encouraged to apply sunscreen prior to arrival.
Join us for a week of cheerleading camp. Instructed by Davidson Day’s varsity cheerleading coach, Jessica Carter, participants will learn motions, jumps, chants, cheers, stunts, and dance! New material will be taught daily. Come out for a spirited, exciting week! Campers should arrive in easy moving clothes (shorts, tennis shoes, pony tails), and bring a water bottle. On our last day of camp, we will perform for each other, and parents are welcome to come watch. We hope to see you there!
Coach Estep is excited to work with our rising soccer stars. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about the sport of soccer. Kids will learn ball control, shooting, offense and defense through drills, games, and scrimmages. We will work on fundamentals of the game as well as building confidence. Each session will consist of a dynamic warm-up, a series of drills, instruction, and games, water breaks, and a scrimmage. Participants are required to wear tennis shoes or cleats (please no flip flops) and to bring a water bottle. (soccer ball optional) All other equipment will be provided. Participants are also encouraged to apply sunscreen prior to arrival. |
