Upper School Parents

Making social connections is vital to the whole school experience. At Davidson Day, students in all grades will find opportunities to mingle outside of the classroom and discover common interests. We believe a well-rounded education includes learning more about each other.

Lower School Social Opportunities

Students in Lower School have many opportunities to build and strengthen their social skills at Davidson Day. Lunch and recess times provide interactions with younger and older children. Class parties are planned throughout the year, and our popular after-school programs give children time to socialize outside of the classroom while in a structured activity.

Middle School Social Opportunities

The Middle School Student Council takes a leadership role in the planning of social events for grades 5-8. Taking suggestions from the student body, the Council plans parties, dances, movie nights, board game nights and other events throughout the year. The goal is to provide one social event a month for Middle School students.

Upper School Social Opportunities

Aside from classes, clubs, sports and service learning involvement, our students find plenty of ways to socialize and build camaraderie in Upper School. School dances, movie nights, you name it -- if the students have a good idea and the energy to make it happen, they have our support. Many Upper School students also tutor and mentor the younger students, providing opportunities to build leadership and school unity.
